Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

We often get asked the same questions several times per day and thought it would be helpful to compile a list of the most frequent ones and our answers, should others be interested. Please feel free to call and talk to any of our friendly customer service professionals, comfort advisors or managers if all of your questions have not been answered to your satisfaction.

This is one of the most common questions we receive, and the answer is we don’t have one! We bill each job using flat rate or lump sum pricing. What this means is that you know what job or repair is going to cost no matter how long it takes our installers or technician to complete the work. This practice is typical throughout the contracting community and has been in place in the automotive repair industry for decades.
We charge a one-time diagnostic/trip charge every time one of our trucks leaves the shop. During normal business hours this fee is $99 for residential customers and $149 for commercial customers. This charge does not include the cost of any repairs and is meant to not only cover the costs for the time and fuel it takes our technician to get to your home and back, but it also helps cover the dispatcher, insurance, fully stocked trucks, technology, tools and training associated with having the best service department in North Central Ohio.
Word to the wise….be cautious of any HVAC company that will give you a firm price for a new piece of HVAC equipment without first asking a few questions and ideally taking a look at the application for themselves. Every application presents its own challenges and unique set of circumstances (insulation value, age of the home, size of the home, existing ductwork, ceiling height, etc.) which makes no two jobs alike, including their cost. In-home estimates from one of our comfort advisors are free and can often be completed and proposed in a matter of days. If you are trying to be proactive in saving for a “basement emergency” try our Budget Worksheet, but feel free to call for a real estimate. Nothing is worse than literally taking a ballpark price to the bank, come to find out it is going to end up costing several thousand dollars more because of an obstacle not accounted for in the budgeted price.

John installed my new bathroom vanity yesterday. He arrived at the time scheduled and got right to work. He encountered several snags but worked his way around them beautifully. Thanks for a great job!
