Job Responsibilities:

- Commercial Plumber (Plumber) will be responsible for installing new and replacement plumbing systems and providing excellent customer service to general contractors, business owners and all commercial plumbing customers.
- Plumber will be expected to follow and uphold all aspects of established company culture, core values and standards for excellence.
- Plumber will be expected to work on a variety of projects and tasks related to the Plumbing trade, including but not limited to:
     - Digging, installing, testing and backfilling underground sanitary and grease piping.
     - Rough-in of new drain, waste and vent (DWV) and domestic water piping.
     - Installation of roof drains and storm drainage piping.
     - Threading, installation and testing of building gas piping.
     - Installation of a variety of plumbing fixtures and trim such as water closets, urinals, lavatories, sinks, drinking fountains, etc.
     - Installation of plumbing specific equipment such as water heaters, storage tanks, recirculation pumps, tankless water heaters, sump pumps and water filtration systems.
     - Line and Low Voltage Wiring, controls and programming.
     - Other job/field related tasks as required: brazing, threading pipe, soldering and welding.
- Plumber will be expected to interpret construction drawings and cut sheets in the field.
- Plumber will occasionally be expected to work on ladders, lifts and scaffolding.
- Plumber will be expected to provide their own hand and cordless power tools necessary to complete daily tasks. (i.e. wrenches, cutters, grinder, drill, etc.)
- Plumber must be competent with the preparation, testing and start-up of new Plumbing equipment.
- Plumber will interface with customers in their homes and places of work and therefore must maintain an acceptable appearance and manners.
- Plumber will be expected to follow all established and normal safety precautions while on the job.
- Plumber may at times work with a less experienced crew member and will be expected to help train and teach their partner as the work allows.
- Plumber will be expected to perform physical activities and occasionally lift items up to 50 lbs.
- Plumber will be expected to be present and on-time for scheduled work days and times.
- Plumber will report to and take direction from the plumbing department manager and follow all established company policies and procedures
- Plumber may occasionally be asked to cross train/work within the service and/or HVAC division when necessary.

Qualifications:

- 3-5+ years as an experienced Plumber is preferred, but not required.
- Candidates with state licensure and/or backflow certification will be given extra consideration.
- Candidates with experience operating heave machinery (mini-excavator, skid steer, etc.) will be given extra consideration.
- Candidate must have the basic knowledge of how a plumbing system works and applicable codes, rules and regulations pertaining to the plumbing trade.
- Candidate must be capable of working independently with minimal supervision and must also get along well with others.
- Candidate must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean/insurable driving record, be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Candidate will occasionally be required to work on ladders, lifts and in dirty/uncomfortable areas such as ditches, attics and crawlspaces to perform their job.
- Candidate will be expected to perform physical activities and occasionally lift items up to 50 lbs.

- Plumbers are paid a competitive hourly wage based on their skills and work experience, plus opportunities for occasional spiffs and bonuses.

- Technicians maintaining a position on the on-call rotation will be assigned their own company vehicle, gas card and iPad.
- New employees accrue up to 40 hours of paid time off (sick/vacation) in their first year of employment, 120 hours in year 2-7, 160 hours in years 8-15 and 200 hours for 15+ years of continuous employment.
