Bringing the Cool to Loudonville Ohio Theater!

Comfort Control recently completed the installation of two (2) 5-ton Mitsubishi mini-split heat pump systems at the historic Ohio Theater at 156 N. Water Street, Loudonville, OH.  Ken Young contacted Comfort Control in the late spring about the possibility of installing a Mitsubishi comfort solution in the theater and we were excited to get the job and have the opportunity to work on the building, built in 1909 and on the National Register of Historic Places. The two (2) S-Series heat pumps installed will not only provide additional comfort for theater patrons during the summer, but will help with the preservation of the theater's intricate architectural detail and reduce the fuel consumption of the existing boiler system used to heat the space during the winter.

Four (4) PKFY-P30 indoor units are controlled by two (2) remotes to keep theater patrons comfortable.

Two (2) 5-Ton PUMY-P60 outdoor condensing units are connected to two (2) 2.5-Ton PKFY-P30 indoor heads each.  The theater presented the unique challenge of the exterior walls being approximately 18" thick!  Two indoor heads are mounted on each side of the theater, one high and one low to better distribute comfort control to each of the theaters' 3-tiers of seating. Each side is controlled by its own remote control and the units operate individually to maintain their return air temperature setpoint. Mitsubishi brand Line-Hide was used to conceal the outdoor refrigerant piping, electrical wiring and drain tubing and provide a clean, finished look on the exterior of the building.
